It’s the kind of backdrop that lets lunch stretch lazily into the afternoon, and by evening, with lights shimmering across the water, it feels like the perfect place for seafood.

Rick Stein ChefsThis season, lobster is in the spotlight, prepared three different ways to highlight its delicate, sweet flavor. From being grilled with garlic butter, baked into a classic thermidor, or spiced up with vibrant Goa flavors, each dish celebrates just how incredible shellfish from our own waters can be.

Our team is there to share a bit of the story behind each dish, suggest the perfect glass of wine to elevate it, and occasionally add a touch of theatre with food finished right at the table.

Then there’s the harbour, the view that brings it all together, especially as the sun sets and the water shimmers.

Stein’s at Home

Rick Stein himselfRick, Jill, Ed, Jack, and Charlie pour their passion for crafting unforgettable food and drink experiences into everything they do, blending a love of quality and style with their deep-rooted connection to Cornwall. This spirit comes to life in our online shop, offering nationwide delivery to bring a taste of the Cornish coast straight to your home.

Rick Stein TeamFor seafood enthusiasts, our online fishmonger offers the same top-quality catch featured on our restaurant menus. From hake fillets and dressed crab to mixed seafood boxes and whole turbot, all sourced from our trusted Cornish suppliers. There are plenty of options to enjoy fresh or freeze for a quick weekday meal or to save for a weekend celebration.

Our story

Jack Ed CharlieRick and Jill Stein started our family-run business in 1975, and today we’re proud to have over 600 happy staff. From our original flagship Seafood Restaurant in Padstow, we’ve grown to 10 restaurants across the south of England, along with hotel rooms, a cookery school, shops, and an online store.

Rick and Jill remain deeply involved, as do their three sons—Ed, Jack, and Charlie. We like to think of ourselves as being in the ‘cheering up industry,’ bringing smiles to people’s faces with great food, drinks, and memorable experiences.
