Appeal 2. Helping medical students to complete training.
Every year, passionate medical students set out to become doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. They put in long hours, study under intense pressure, and often take on unpaid placements while juggling the everyday costs of living.
For many, it’s not about ability or dedication—it’s about lack of money!
Travel to placements, uniforms, books, equipment, food, rent, and course-related expenses quickly add up, and some students are also supporting families or working extra jobs alongside demanding schedules. When the pressure gets too high, too many are forced to drop out before qualifying—a loss for them and for the communities that desperately need their skills.
Donations can help ease this financial burden, covering essentials like study materials, other placement costs, uniforms, food support, and other practical needs to keep students on track.
This appeal is backing 10 specific students we know personally, aiming to give each £3,000 a year. Some are in their final year, others have two or three years left. We plan to run this appeal often and hope to raise even more to help others. Please consider donating to help a medical student stay in training.
Thank you so much for your help. You never know, you may need them one day. We have – which is how we know them. They are exceptional people.
Best wishes, Anthony Black, founder.
